Within the limits of Thisvi Industrial Area, as described in the joint decision no. 9224/435/12.4.2001 of the Ministers of Development and Environment / Government Gazette 499 B', and in the bay of Nousa Viotia modern port facilities operate, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the International Maritime Code and the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS CODE) of International Maritime Organisation (IMO) with location code GRITA 0001. Thisvi port facilities have four docks A, B, C and D.
Since 2001, Dia.Vi.Pe.Thi.V. S.A. is the legal “Port Administration Body and Operator” of Thisvi Industrial Area, in accordance with the provisions of Article 19 of Law 2545/97 and those of Law 2971/2001. On January 2013, Dia.Vi.Pe.Thi.V. S.A. obtained the right to use the coastline and seashore, as well as the right to use and exploit the port facilities until the end of December 2043.
Port facilities users may be only companies established in Thisvi Industrial Area, as implied by the decision on the 'concession to use the coastline and seashore', and by the institutional framework established the industrial area.
Thisvi port facilities ensure, at established companies, shorter raw materials delivery times and improved end product delivery times, as well as security during product receipt and delivery. Also, Thisvi port facilities provide to ships approaching the port certan amenities such as receipt and management of generated waste, while taking measures to prevent marine pollution.
